In short
- Your matches, scores and settings stay on your device.
- Your custom checkout routes and badges sync through your own iCloud account. I can't see them.
- The iPhone and iPad app uses Google Firebase for usage statistics and crash reports that don't include your name.
- There are no ads and no tracking. The Apple Watch app sends nothing at all.
- There are no accounts, and I never sell your data.
Who is responsible
Darts Checkout Pro ("the app", including its Apple Watch app) is made by Vinklair Apps, an independent developer ("I", "me"). For any privacy question, write to vinklair.apps@gmail.com.
Data that stays on your device
The app stores these on your device only. None of it is sent to me or to anyone else:
- Scorer matches: the player names you type, the darts you enter, and the match settings.
- Game results: your best scores in the quiz and math games.
- Settings: appearance, layout, font size, orientation and similar preferences.
Deleting the app deletes this data. Your device backups may still contain it, under your control.
Data synced through your iCloud account
Your checkout customizations (your own routes, hidden routes, route order and badges) are saved in iCloud key-value storage in your own Apple Account, so they appear on your other devices signed in to the same account. Apple handles this storage under the Apple Privacy Policy. I have no access to it. You can change or remove any customization in the app at any time, and the change syncs to your other devices.
Usage statistics and crash reports
The iPhone and iPad app uses these Google Firebase services to understand how it is used and to fix problems:
- Firebase Analytics records which screens and features are used, for example opening a tab, starting a game or a scorer match. It collects an app instance identifier, device and operating system details, app version and approximate location derived from the IP address.
- Firebase Crashlytics sends a report when the app crashes, with technical details about the device and what the app was doing.
- Firebase Remote Config downloads settings for the app, such as how often the review request appears. It uses an installation identifier.
This data does not include your name, your email address, the player names you type or the darts you enter. Google processes it on my behalf. See Privacy and Security in Firebase.
No ads, no tracking
Darts Checkout Pro contains no advertising and no advertising SDKs, and it never asks to track you across other companies' apps and websites.
Purchases
You buy the app once through the App Store, and you can leave a Buy Me a Coffee tip in the app. Apple processes the payment. The app only receives confirmation of a purchase. I never see your payment details.
Apple Watch
The Apple Watch app contains no analytics, crash reporting or advertising SDKs. It keeps your game scores on the watch and reads your checkout customizations from the same iCloud key-value storage as the iPhone app.
What I don't do
- I don't ask you to create an account.
- I don't sell your data or share it for anyone else's marketing.
- I don't collect your contacts, photos, precise location, microphone or health data.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, write to me and I will help remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, and to object to or restrict how it is used. Because I don't collect your name or contact details, most data can't be linked to you by me. Write to me and I will do what I can, including asking Google to delete analytics data for your app instance.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
