In short
- Your matches, scores and settings stay on your device.
- Your custom checkout routes and badges sync through your own iCloud account. I can't see them.
- The app uses Google Firebase for usage statistics and crash reports that don't include your name, and Google AdMob to show ads.
- Ads only use your device's advertising identifier if you allow tracking. You can say no and keep using every feature.
- There are no accounts, and I never sell your data.
Who is responsible
Darts Checkout (the free app, "the app") is made by Vinklair Apps, an independent developer ("I", "me"). For any privacy question, write to vinklair.apps@gmail.com.
Data that stays on your device
The app stores these on your iPhone or iPad only. None of it is sent to me or to anyone else:
- Scorer matches: the player names you type, the darts you enter, and the match settings.
- Game results: your best scores in the quiz and math games.
- Settings: appearance, layout, font size, orientation and similar preferences.
Deleting the app deletes this data. Your device backups may still contain it, under your control.
Data synced through your iCloud account
Your checkout customizations (your own routes, hidden routes, route order and badges) are saved in iCloud key-value storage in your own Apple Account, so they appear on your other devices signed in to the same account. Apple handles this storage under the Apple Privacy Policy. I have no access to it. You can change or remove any customization in the app at any time, and the change syncs to your other devices.
Usage statistics and crash reports
The app uses these Google Firebase services to understand how it is used and to fix problems:
- Firebase Analytics records which screens and features are used, for example opening a tab, starting a game or a scorer match. It collects an app instance identifier, device and operating system details, app version and approximate location derived from the IP address.
- Firebase Crashlytics sends a report when the app crashes, with technical details about the device and what the app was doing.
- Firebase Remote Config downloads settings for the app, such as how often ads and the review request appear. It uses an installation identifier.
This data does not include your name, your email address, the player names you type or the darts you enter. Google processes it on my behalf. See Privacy and Security in Firebase.
Advertising
The free app is funded by ads from Google AdMob: banners, full-screen ads between games, and optional rewarded ads that give you extra lives. AdMob collects device and app information, your IP address and approximate location, and how you interact with ads, to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and prevent fraud.
- Tracking permission. The first time you open the app, iOS asks whether the app may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you allow it, AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to show personalized ads. If you don't, the identifier isn't shared and ads are not personalized in that way. You can change this any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Consent in Europe. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google's consent form asks for your choices before any ads are personalized. To change your choices later, open the Info tab and tap Privacy Settings (version 5.2 and later), or write to me.

Purchases
You can buy Remove Ads or a Buy Me a Coffee tip in the app. Apple processes the payment. The app only receives confirmation of what you bought, so it can remove the ads and restore the purchase on your other devices. I never see your payment details.
What I don't do
- I don't ask you to create an account.
- I don't sell your data or share it for anyone else's marketing.
- I don't collect your contacts, photos, precise location, microphone or health data.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, write to me and I will help remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, and to object to or restrict how it is used. Because I don't collect your name or contact details, most data can't be linked to you by me. Write to me and I will do what I can, including asking Google to delete analytics data for your app instance.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
